Janani Balasubramanian visits Colorado Springs in the fourth collaboration between the UCCS Theatre & Dance Program and the world-famous Public Theater in New York. Positioning Colorado Springs as an incubator for new American work, Janani will not only work with our students, but intersect with our community in the creation of Rogue Objects. Janani Balasubramanian is a multi-media artist from New York City. They are here as the Heller Fellow in a collaboration between the Heller Center, UCCS Theatre and Dance Program and the Public Theatre in New York. The piece that Janani will create at Heller is called Rogue Objects. It is an interactive listening game based on the science behind black holes. Participants will listen to the game on their smart-phones through headphones. It will lead them through an interactive experience of movement, sound and music.
