In this seminar Professor Bono will discuss how CRISPR was discovered, the diverse ways it is being used, as well as potential limitations & concerns associated with the technology. He joined UCCS faculty in 2009; his research focuses on genetic basis of speciation & environmental adaption. He has taught courses on Methods in Evolutionary Genetics, Evolution & Behavioral Ecology.
Lectures are held in Room 116, University Hall, UCCS Campus, 1420 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, Colorado Springs.
