The Hilton Brothers, as an artistic identity, is a collaboration between photographers Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg. Since 2004, the photographers have visited exotic destinations together, capturing the same moments through different eyes. What evolved was an unconscious blurring of their individual images and a series of diptychs, where they would photograph separate objects and bring them together in one work: one plus one equals a new idea. Identifying with Daisy and Violet Hilton of the 1930’s Vaudeville fame, Makos and Solberg began calling their collective works, and themselves, The Hilton Brothers.
