Jean Sibelius wrote the Violin Concerto in D minor (his only concerto) in 1905, but it was not widely heard until 1991, when his heirs first permitted its performance. The technically demanding violin solo is played tonight by Andrew Wan.

Tickets are available beginning May 1. They are $30 for the public, $25 for CC ID holders, $5 for students and children, and free for CC students.
