Deborah Jenkins Teske conducts Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble’s 25th anniversary concert event celebrating musical progressions and partnerships in the Pikes Peak Region.
Since its first performance at Grace and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in 1993, the Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble has shared excellence in the choral art with audiences throughout the Pikes Peak Region. In a grand celebration of this silver anniversary, the ensemble will present repertoire in six languages spanning six centuries and three continents.
The centerpiece of the program is Benjamin Britten’s masterful Hymn to St. Cecilia, a perfect marriage of poetry and music reflecting on the nature of artistic inspiration. This celebration also features works by Janequin, Monteverdi, and Schubert.
