Keithley Log Cabin District Brunch Fundraiser

Presented by Manitou Springs Heritage Center at Crystal Park Cantina

Come join the Brunch in the Historic Log Cabin District in Manitou Springs, a fundraiser for the Manitou Springs Heritage Center hosted by Crystal Park Cantina (itself one of the Historic Log cabins) anf featuring a special Keithley Log Cabin District exhibit.

The Keithley Log Cabin District is a historic camp and health resort on the National Register of Historic Places. Six of the 27 log cabins in this secluded, rustic, and wooded district were built exclusively by Everhard Keithley, who was the Pike National Forest superintendent from 1926 to 1946. Mr. Keithley was responsible for developing tree nurseries, building Rampart Range Road, fighting to open Gold Camp Road to the public and reforesting areas that had been stripped due to wildfires, logging or mining.

Brunch will be held at the Crystal Park Cantina, which is one of the original log cabins in the District.
