Seth Elliott Meyer is visiting assistant professor of German at Colorado College whose work focuses on the intersection of literature, science, and politics in the 19th and 20th centuries. Part of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic’s Leonard Bernstein Festival, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of Bernstein’s birth, this event brings together live music, two Academy Award-winning documentary films, and Meyer’s insight into the media of marginalized, disabled, and displaced peoples to explore the relationship between music, human rights, and Bernstein’s enduring legacy.
