Join us for the 13th Annual Bighorn Sheep Day! Look for bighorns in their natural habitat through our high-power telescopes. Bighorn presentations and door prizes. Guided nature walks. Children’s activities and crafts. Live zoo animals. Don’t forget your binoculars. It’s a full day of free family fun!

Activities (schedule subject to change)

• Guided Nature Walks in the Park– the Central Garden Trailhead from Parking lot #2​
• Wildlife Viewing Stations on the Visitor Center Terrace or Take the Free Shuttle to Offsite Viewing Area at Mesa Road
• Youth Crafts 
• Presentations in the Red Rocks Room (lots of Door Prizes!)
  • 10:30 a.m.: An Active Bighorn Survival Game for Youth 6+ and Adults
  • 11:45 a.m.: Bighorn Sheep of the Pikes Peak Region
  • 1:00 p.m.: Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo Presents “Animal Jobs” with live animals
  • 2:15 p.m.: Rampart Range Bighorns (our local heard)
