International Human Rights Day

Presented by Big Ten Alumni Club Of Colorado Springs at PPLD - Sand Creek Library

Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world on December 10 every year. This is the day the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded.

Please come and help recognize this important day. The Big Ten Alumni Club of Colorado Springs will be showing a powerful and emotional documentary on the 1965 genocide in Indonesia. It is estimated one million people were summarily executed without any due process.

Joshua Oppenheimer’s award winning documentary, The Art of Killing chronicles the ongoing saga of this event. The perpetrators are proud of their “accomplishment” and continue their reign of terror. The psychological terror continues to this day. Imaging if the Nazi’s had won and the SS and Gestapo were national heroes!
