Garden Photography

Presented by Horticultural Art Society at Caretaker's Cottage

Join the Horticultural Art Society for a wonderful class by Leslie Holzmann. She will be teaching the tips and tricks for making the beauty of gardens and nature come alive in photographs.

Leslie Holzmann planted her first seeds at age three and took her first pictures at age five. The seeds grew into armfuls of sweet peas—still her favorite flowers with their heady fragrance—and those early photos of a month-long trip to Mexico are safely tucked into the first of many albums.

Growing up with a love of both gardening and photography, it was inevitable that Leslie would eventually combine these passions into thousands of photos of flowers, birds and other wildlife, and natural landscapes.

As a Colorado Master Gardener from 2001 through 2011, Leslie provided photo resources for the program’s displays, articles, and presentations. You can now find her photos and articles on her gardening and nature blog and on her website, Mountain-Plover.com.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a master.

Weather permitting, participants can go out to the Horticultural Art Society Demonstration Gardens (next door to the cottage) after the class to work on the techniques learned while under Leslie’s guidance.
