Enjoy then evening with live music by Jason Bennett and Rich Currier from 5:30-7:30PM during the First Friday Art Walk in Downtown Colorado Springs. They’ll be performing outside on the bricks, next to the office of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, and across the street from First Friday Shuttle Bus Stop #4.
Jason Bennett has been performing and writing songs in the Pikes Peak Region since 2001. His introspective lyrics, traditional instrumentation and warm vocals have earned him fans throughout the world. Jason has written, recorded and produced nine CD’s of original acoustic-themed music. His songs have aired on television and radio stations throughout the world. Jason is also the driving force of the award-winning CD, “Positively Pikes Peak – The Pikes Peak Region Sings Bob Dylan”, which won best album award in the Colorado Springs Indy Music Awards in 2011. Rich Currier needs no introduction to music fans of the Pikes Peak Region. The multi-instrumentalist is known for his lush harmonies, legendary pedal steel guitar tones and electric and acoustic guitar playing. Rich has enjoyed success in numerous bands in the region and now tours as a solo act in southern Colorado. Rich has recorded many of his own records and also has appeared on many recordings by other artists. His pedal steel guitar work has resonated throughout Colorado for many years.
