Learn about how eclipses happen, the particulars of the upcoming eclipse (both in the path of totality and in Colorado), the basics of camera equipment, required safety equipment, settings for photographing various phases of the eclipse, and how to help others enjoy viewing the event.
The course is being offered by Professor Andrew Ketsdever who received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering in 1995 and has been an avid amateur astronomer since he was 12 years old. Andrew currently teaches courses in astrodynamics and the space environment at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs as well as conducts research in spacecraft and rocket related topics. Andrew is also a member of the Front Range Wildlife Photographers group and is always excited to share knowledge when he can.
