Molly Boyles and her band, Blue Moll, will be releasing their CD at a free show at Stargazers Theatre as a part of Stargazers Summer Fun Free Concert Series!
Blue Moll is a smokin’ hot four-piece out of southern Colorado playing funk-pop originals written by Molly Boyles.
With Molly on guitar, lead vocals and producing, Roger Anderson on drums and producing, Rob Beardsley on bass & vocals, and Shelley Small on keys and vocals, this band seriously delivers whether in live performances or in the studio – as seen in this, their first recording, self-titled, “Blue Moll.”
You can hear influences ranging from Shuggie Otis to Santana to D’Angelo to Blondie and The Cars but it is all an original sound, a blend of funk, pop, and good rock.
Molly Boyles was born in Wyoming to a family of musicians, raised in Colorado and spent ten years in Los Angeles playing the festival scene. Since being home she has put together different bands and shows, most notably Lipstick Voodoo and Ms. Molly’s Western Cabaret.
Roger Anderson was drumming in Chicago for many years before settling in Colorado, Shelley Small was playing music in Texas before coming to the state, and Rob Beardsley has been playing and singing in the Colorado scene for many years.
Blue Moll got together last year and immediately began recording Molly’s original songs. The BLUE MOLL CD and its 9 songs will be officially released for sale June 10.
The band is now playing the southern Colorado circuit to support that CD, and branching out to favorite festivals wherever feasible. Once released, the songs and album will be available for sale through iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, www.bluemoll.com and at live performances.
