A partnership between Garden of The Gods Visitor & Nature Center and Expression Through Photography® 40% of proceeds will be donated to the Visitor & Nature Center for maintenance and educational programing in Garden of the Gods Park. WHAT: An intensive 3-day workshop with award-winning highly published photographer and certified instructor from Boulder County, Colorado—Eli Vega. The best photography is found where technical know-how and creative aesthetics meet. This workshop is about the creative aesthetics side. Photographers spend a lot of time, if not most of their time, learning about the technical know-how side of photography. However, as important as that is, we need to sharpen our right brain as well. A photograph can be technically correct, but aesthetically weak. In this highly interactive, inspirational, and fun workshop you will learn how to use the right brain, using the instructor’s self-designed photography models as the foundation. You will learn about the concepts and principles that form these models, and see several of the instructor’s images created from the application of these models. Those models form the foundation for Eli’s photo art. The three models you will learn are: Eli’s 5-Point Photo Art Model,™ I S.E.E SOMETHING™ and, The Photo Image Creation Process™ Be ready to think outside the box that’s outside the box! DATES: August 22, 23, & 24 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) AGENDA OVERVIEW: Friday evening: Intros, slide show, presentation & discussion covering Eli’s three models. Saturday: All-day shooting & feedback on your work. Evening work, “painting with light,” is optional. Sunday: All morning shooting, and wrap-up at the Visitors Center. Contact Eli for a more detailed agenda. WORKSHOP FEE: $250.00 per person (meals and lodging not included), by check or credit card. Contact Eli through his website to arrange for reservation and payment. LIMIT: Only ten (10) participants, in order to improve quality of instruction.
