Memphis to benefit the Colorado Springs NAACP

at Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts

"Memphis" is a musical by David Byran and Joe DiPiertro. It's based on a story about one of the first white DJs to play black music in the 1950s, and it highlights the struggles that both blacks and whites went through in the fight for racial and civil equality. This play has won four 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Tickets cost $40-$60, and 10% of the proceeds will go to the Colorado Springs NAACP which does community and legal services for social equality here in the community.
