This classic play by Oscar Wilde is a theater staple! With the witty wordplay, ingenious irony, fast pace, and well-crafted scenes, your theatre student will get a workout in developing a character, choosing goals and tactics, and building a scene. Spend five glorious mornings immersed in theatre games, character development, partner work and scenework with the artistic director of Tin Roof Productions, Karen Hamer, and guest teachers. Voice work, movement, imagination, improv – goals, tactics, obstacles, what-ifs … all of these important building blocks in an actor’s tool kit will be developed during this fun theater camp. Sharpen skills and build new ones!
All students will learn lines from Algernon and Jack (boys) or Cecily and Gwendolen (girls) during the week for performances at the end of the week.
