METALLIC, INTERFERENCE, & IRIDESCENT PAINTS with Denver Artist Mary Morrison

Level: All This class will familiarize you with Golden’s metallic, iridescent and interference paints. By combining these with textured gels, rag applications and stenciling we will create the look of hammered metals, textured metallics and shimmering surfaces. We’ll use Stainless Steel, Micaceous Iron Oxide, Iridescent Copper, Gold, Silver, Pearl as well as 5 of the Interference colors combined with regular acrylics to achieve bas-relief, incised, burnished and reflective surfaces. These can create weathered surfaces, add textural areas to work or be used to create specialty papers for collage. This class will show you the range of color and textural possibilities with these contemporary paints. All supplies included.
