Dvorák’s Symphony No. 6 was one of the first of his large symphonic works to draw international attention. This work has many similarities to symphonies by Brahms and Beethoven, as well as references to Czech folk tunes. Stay for the opening festival orchestra reception in the Cornerstone Main Space after the performance and meet our festival fellows! Also on the program: Adams – The Chairman Dances (Foxtrot for Orchestra)
Enesco – Symphonie Concertante in B minor, Op. 8, Bion Tsang, cello
Dvorák – Symphony No. 6 in D Major, Op. 60. Free for CC students. For full repertoire and more information visit www.coloradocollege.edu/musicfestival.
