Book Presentation and Signing
A personal memoir of Don Cesare’s forty-plus years of duty in the U.S. Marine Corps, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, during which time he was not only a witness but a participant in history. He supported U-2 spy planes flying from bases in Turkey, and Japan up and over the Soviet Union and the Peoples Republic of China. Cesare also participated in the training of Tibetan freedom fighters in their fight against Chinese oppression. During his career with the FBI, Cesare investigated the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, and was intensely involved in the case of the three civil rights workers killed in Mississippi and assisting in the demise of the Ku Klux Klan. Only a handful of persons in every generation are graced by fate to be first-hand observers of those monumental events which become a part of our shared human history. Even fewer are actual participants in such events, and those who have done both are as rare as unicorns.
