Arkansas River Corridor Bioblitz

Presented by Conservation Colorado at Cotopaxi School House

Are you an amateur naturalist, birder, wildlife/plant enthusiast, or someone who likes to get outside in beautiful places and learn about nature?  If so, we need your help!

Come join us to help catalog the natural wonders of a beautiful area in Colorado canyon country along the Arkansas River.   With your help, we will capture a snapshot of the incredible plants and animals in the area. Through the Arkansas River Corridor BioBlitz, we will discover, photograph, and identify as many plant and wildlife species as possible.  We will look for rare wildflowers, plants, birds, mammals, reptiles, insects and more!

You will have a unique opportunity to spend time in a beautiful place and work alongside experts to  learn about the living creatures in the Arkansas River Corridor. You will also help conservation organizations protect the unique wildlife and plants that live in Colorado‚Äôs Arkansas canyon lands and contribute to a national database of species observations.

The event will take place on May 14th and 15th. You have the option of joining us for either or both days, and camping in the area overnight.   People of all ages and skill levels are welcome! Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Advance registration is required and spots are limited, so please save the date and register now.  If you plan to attend both days, please register separately for each day.
