Blues Caravan is currently in its 12th year of providing excellent music and musicians. Blues Caravan has helped launched well known artists such as Joanne Shaw Taylor, Laurence Jones and Samantha Fish, Ana Popovic, and many more.
In 2016, Blues Caravan is steaming up venues across the United States and Europe with their hottest new artists; The Blue Sisters. Layla Zoe is the Canadian bandleader whom is fearless in her writing and has been critically acclaimed for her 2013 album, The Lily. During this tour, Layla will showcase from her best catalogue, this year’s new releases, and exploiting all of her talents on the stage. “With live performances,” she explains, “I believe that the more raw and uncensored I am, the more I can connect with my listeners.”
When Ina Forsman steps up the mic, you will be mesmerized and believe every word. The Finnish vocalist began performing at the age of 17 with her show-stopping rendition of Etta James’s, “All I Could Do Was Cry” on a televised talent show. Since then, she’s achieved international recognition, guesting with blues heavyweights Helge Tallqvist and Guy Verlinde on the road, touring mainland Europe and proving her own songwriting chops with her self-penned and fiercely personal material. When Ina comes on stage she displays a jaw-dropping performance. “I rarely plan anything,” she says, “so what happens on the stage, just happens.”
Tasha Taylor has the blues in her blood. Taylor is the youngest daughter of R&B trailblazer, and Stax icon, Johnnie Taylor. Taylor has definitely inherited her father’s musical talent, but took her own pathway in life by studying drama at Boston University before she premiered on television. Taylor’s notable performances include premiers on Ugly Betty, House, and has composed soundtracks for shows such as Men In Trees and Lipstick Jungle. Tasha had her big break through with her album, Taylormade. The album was inspired from early soulful singles such as Queen to gospel’s, I Got Love. She’ll start the Blues Caravan as a hot tip – and end it as a world-class contender.
