Andres Orlowski - Origins, Winter and Other Storie...

Presented by G44 Gallery at G44 Gallery

G44 Gallery is proud to present Andres Orlowski’s “Origins, Winter and Other Stories” opening March 25 through May 7.  His new work explores symbolism, nature and time.

Poet, Painter and Photographer Andres Orlowski grew up in Mexico City. His father is a traditional painter who studied at the Arts Student League in NY and fresco painting with a pupil of Diego Rivera at the Antigüa Academia de San Carlos. Andres studied what is sometimes referred to as Classical Methods of Representation with Master Sculptor and Painter Gene Djakonow. He also went on to study Academic Drawing at the Florence Academy in Firenze, Italy. From this base originates his painterly approach to photography, a mix of pictorialism, symbolism and concept.

Andres has displayed his art work in different venues in the U.S. including the Art Student Showcase in NY, The Toledo Museum of Art in Toledo, OH, Gainsburg Gallery in Las Vegas and several venues in New Mexico, Colorado and Palm Desert, CA.

Internationally, his work has been exhibited at the Yu-Shin Museum in Habrin, China, the Cha-Um Gallery in Muju, S.Korea and the Nudo Gallery in San Miguel Allende, Mexico.

In 2014 his work was published as one of the top ten winners of an international photography contest by the Unlimited Grain Gallery in the Netherlands.
