A retrospective of select oil paintings, graphite works and gouache studies from this Colorado artist’s recent oeuvre.
The Cultural Office is pleased to present a solo show of artwork by Claire Swinford, on exhibit in the Cultural Office & Arts Info Space this winter.
These works by Swinford are united by their exploration of the concept of “liminality,” defined as a transitional period when an idea or identity is in flux. Depicting human figures draped in blankets exploring a wide, wild natural environment, the works are dreamlike, playful and powerful, evoking moments half-forgotten or yet-to-be.
Opening reception: 5-7 p.m. First Friday, December 7. Show runs through March 2019.
