The Michael Garman Museum & Gallery is located Old Colorado City and features over 500 reproductions of Michael Garman’s sculptures. Honoring American heroes from all walks of life, Michael Garman’s sculptures depict modern-day heroes – firefighters, teachers, aviators, and law enforcement – alongside historic cowboys, mountain men, soldiers, and many more. All reproductions are made by hand in the production studio housed within the Garman Building.
In addition, Magic Town – a 3,000 square-foot Sculptural Theater – is on permanent exhibit at this location. Magic Town is a miniature city sculpted at 1:6 scale, featuring Michael Garman’s depiction of 20th century urban life as seen by his own travels throughout North and South America. Magic Town includes dozens of intricate buildings, hundreds of handmade characters, as well as holograms and magical illusions designed to make the sculptures appear to come to life. Guests are invited to take a self-guided tour or engage in a specialty scavenger hunt to discover its hidden characters.
