McGlinchey Sexton Conservation

McGlinchey Sexton Conservation located in Colorado Springs CO

Jennifer McGlinchey Sexton is a graduate-level trained conservator of photographs and works on paper. She provides conservation treatment and expertise for photographs and works of art on paper.

Trained as a fine-art photographer, Jennifer became interested in conservation as a way to blend her love of art with a curiosity about materials. After getting her graduate degree, Jennifer continued to hone her skills as a conservator and a photographer in positions at museums, regional centers, and private practices throughout the United States.

Jennifer is a Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC), a status that requires peer-review. Her practice is guided by the AIC Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice. She is an active member of the national and local conservation community, regularly publishing research, presenting at conferences and conducting training workshops for UV/visible fluorescence documentation. She is a member of the AIC Photographic Materials Specialty Group (PMG) committee, the Cooperstown/Buffalo Alumni Advisory Board, and serves as a member-at-large for the Western Association of Art Conservation (WAAC).
