Paul Friedland of Cornell University’s Department of History opens three days of college and community discussion on the death penalty, a topic of compelling contemporary urgency. On the following evening, George Williams will offer a related talk grounded his experience as Death Row chaplain at San Quentin. On Friday at noon, the two speakers will engage in a dialogue moderated by CC’s former president, Richard Celeste.
