Independent writer-director Dave Boyle showcases his fifth and most ambitious feature with this bilingual neo-noir, in which a Japanese crime novelist and a small town sheriff are lured into the same strange murder mystery. “Man from Reno” won Best Narrative Feature at the 2014 Los Angeles Film Festival and was nominated for the John Cassavetes Award at the 2015 Independent Spirit Awards.
