The Nutcracker

The Colorado Youth Ballet is joined by the CS Youth Symphony, conducted by Gary Nicholson, in presenting 130 performers in the The Nutcracker. This 75 minute narrated, family-friendly version features all your favorites – Clara and the Nutcracker Prince, the Rat King and his ferocious mice fighting the Toy Soldiers, and all the delights of the Winter Wonderland and the Land of the Sweets!

Featured this year are several guest artists – including Michele Wiles (Sugar Plum Fairy) and Jay Donn (Arabian Coffee) of New York City’s BalletNext; Stephen Wynne (Herr Drosselmeyer) from Talk Dance Co; Matthew Helms (Snow King) from Boulder Ballet; and Colton West from Ballet Idaho, performing as the Nutcracker Prince. We’re excited to welcome back the wonderful Joe Cole from FOX21 to narrate the ballet, and are pleased to have the CS Children’s Chorale singing in the Winter Wonderland.
