Temple Shalom Film Series - '1945'
Temple Shalom will be presenting the Hungarian film “1945,” the final film in this year’s film series.
“1945” takes place in the span of one day in a small Hungarian village just after World War II, where residents are confronted with the ghosts of sins past.
This is an intense and haunting film about a less known period in history. The acting and cinematography are superb and the musical score is powerful.
“1945” has received numerous awards at film festivals around the country. It was based on the short story “Homecoming” by Gabor T. Szanto, and was directed by Ferenc Torok.
Tickets for the film are free of charge. There is an $18 fee for the food and wine reception that follows.
To make a reservation for the film and purchase tickets to the reception please visit Templeshalom.com and scroll down to the link “film series”. For movie-only reservations email email@example.com.
