Taylor Memorial Concert

 The next Taylor Memorial Concert is Sunday, January 18, 3:00 pm at Grace and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church downtown, North Tejon and Monument Streets,  with a solo organ recital by Deke Polifka.  The program features music by British composers:  Herbert Howells, Edward Cuthbert Bairstow, Edward Elgar, Herbert Sumsion, George Thalben-Ball and Paul Spicer.  This repertoire spans from mid-19th century to the present, offering a sampling of the great organ tradition from "across the pond."

Deke Polifka is Organist and Choirmaster at Grace and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, where he directs choirs for all ages, serves as principal organist, and oversees the longstanding Taylor Concert Series.  Deke holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. and is currently enrolled in the Artist Diploma program in organ performance at The University of Denver.
