'Take Time to Smell the Flowers'

TwentyOne8 Gallery is proud to present; “Take Time to Smell the Flowers” with works by photographer Jess LaMere.

Jessica LaMere is an artist who mainly works with photography by taking her daily life as subject matter. While commenting on everyday aesthetic values, she investigates the dynamics of landscape including the manipulation of its effects and the limits of our assumptions of what landscape means. Rather than presenting reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of imagination.

Her photos establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined. Jessica’s works are characterized by the use of everyday objects in an atmosphere mentality in which recognition plays an important role.

The opening reception will be Friday, November 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.
