Competition Rules and Format: The PSP (pspevents.com) rules will govern competition during the Rocky Mountain Paintball Championship (RMPC). The RMPC event is a PSP premier affiliate, and the same rule book applies to the RMPC. To review the complete PSP Rule Book, click here. All players and teams who choose to play in the RMPC are subject to these rules. Players are strongly encouraged to read and understand the rules before playing in the event. Any questions or comments can be directed to the RMSG Paintball Commissioner. These rules are subject to change at any time to ensure balance level of play and provide the best possible paintball during the tournament. Players are required to be APPA card holders to participate in the RMPC event. For additional details, visit www.paintball-players.org. Players will have the opportunity to activate or renew their APPA memberships during the registration process.
Each team will play three (3) Preliminary Matches. Each match will start with a limited amount of game time based on division played. An Open Division match starts with 20 minutes of game time. A Division 3 match starts with 15 minutes of game time. A Division 4 match starts with 15 minutes of game time. Teams switch starting locations sides after playing two (2) points at the current starting station. The break period is 1 minute 30 seconds (90 seconds). A timeout will add 30 seconds to the break period at the time when called to the referee. If there is 15 seconds or less of game time remaining at the end of a point, game time expires for the match.
