Explore the development of skiing on Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain! This beloved activity and sport has changed from a backyard activity, to organized ski jumping at Edlowe in the 1920s (Silver Spruce Ski Club), and eventually to downhill skiing at Glen Cove from the 1930s on (Pikes Peak Ski Club).  Learn about the key figures in local skiing and the challenges they faced developing and maintaining skiing on the peak.
