Our Amazing Honey Ants - Garden of the Gods Gateway Adventure Series

Presented by Bret Tennis, Garden of the Gods Park Operations Administrator.  These fascinating ants actually store “honey” inside their bodies.  First scientifically described inside the Garden of the Gods, our Park has a long history with these insects.  Join us to learn more about these rare insects and their captivating lives.

Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center is pleased to present the new Garden of the Gods Gateway Adventure Series. The bi-monthly series will meet on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month.  The series will feature the top naturalists, interpreters, historians and many special guests to present an array of exciting presentations, demonstrations, walks and hikes.  The series will inform and educate the community on the many unique aspects of Garden of the Gods Park while encouraging environmental awareness of this precious National Natural Landmark.
