The show “Colorado Grown” is a family celebration (brother, sister, daughter) of art spanning some 50 years. It’s genesis began in 1965 with a single mural painted on a nursery wall, that later became Flat Rabbit Murals, a business in which all three members contributed their talent. All three are “Colorado Grown” natives of Colorado Springs.

The show “Colorado Grown” is a family celebration (brother, sister, daughter) of art spanning some 50 years. It’s genesis began in 1965 with a single mural painted on a nursery wall, that later became Flat Rabbit Murals, a business in which all three members contributed their talent. All three are “Colorado Grown” natives of Colorado Springs.
Jake Pinello, along with the mural business, also taught art at Ranum High School in Westminster Colorado for 30 years, teaching painting, drawing, and ceramics.
Claudia (Pinello) Drake, has worked with Flat Rabbit from the beginning and has developed her own artistic direction with her paintings specializing primarily on wildlife.
Kahlie Sue Pinello is perhaps the most diverse member of the three. Aside from mural painting, she has worked extensively with Planet Bluegrass in Lyons Colorado, decorating the stage and grounds of bluegrass festivals in Telluride and the Lyons area. Her uniquely decorated art guitars will be on display for this exhibit.
