We aim to celebrate our students’ growth, challenge them, and ensure quality in our teaching. Drawing 201

Is it time to continue your journey down the path of drawing? Students will gain insight into hand/eye coordination, focusing on different drawing mediums, rendering, expanded principles of perspective and sight reading, and an introduction to color. Prerequisite: Drawing 101 or similar knowledge in drawing is highly preferred..
Sound Smart At the Museum 1
7:30pm – 9:30pm With Brett Andrus $150.
Do you find yourself perplexed in galleries or museums? Do you wonder what makes art “good”? This class is for you! We’ll focus on art appreciation, art history, and demystifying your relationship with art. We’ll also introduce you to the major art makers from the beginning through the pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. You’ll learn about artists, art movements, and their correlation with previous art movements. This will not be a date memorization class, it will actually be fun. We pinky swear.
Tuesdays, beginning September 15th
Oil 101
5:15-7:15 pm With Brett Andrus. $150.
Have you always been curious about oil painting? This class is definitely for you! Students will be given an introduction to the medium of oil paints, as well as knowledge of how best to utilize it, make it work, etc. Basic color mixing will be covered, as well as still life, life painting, and an introduction to art history. Prerequisite: No oil painting experience required, but a basic
knowledge of drawing is preferred.
Art Theory
7:30pm – 9:30pm With Brett Andrus $150.
Why do you make art the way you do? Do you find yourself stuck in a rut, making the same art over and over again? This class is designed by Brett Andrus to address those very issues, through a discussion-based examination of everything from color theory, to composition, to creativity and the development of one’s artistic style.
