Enjoy a history lecture by Ari Kelman, author of the award winning book “A Misplaced Massacre: Struggling Over the Memory of Sand Creek.”

Ari Kelman teaches courses on the Civil War and Reconstruction, the politics of memory, environmental history, Native American history, and America in the 1960s at UC Davis.

Kelman’s 2013 book, “A Misplaced Massacre: Struggling Over the Memory of Sand Creek” (Harvard University Press), won the Bancroft Prize, the Antoinette Forester Downing Book Award, the Avery O.
