Gallery 113 Features Artists Julia Evans and Karen Standridge During Art Walk

Evans’ art hangs in many venues, including the Colorado State Capitol building in Denver. She’s a graphic designer and paints in an abstract contemporary styIe. Calligraphic elements sometimes weave through the background forms, providing movement and energy. Most of her work is acrylic, although she’s recently explored encaustics and watercolor batik.

Standridge retired from college teaching and is a Signature Member of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society and a Colorado Springs Art Guild. Her work is exhibited around the world in private collections. She’s won several awards. Karen does weekend watercolor and acrylic workshops, and welcomes adults of every level.
