Film Screening: ‘The Invaders’ presented by UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art at GOCA 121, Colorado Springs CO

This documentary is featured in the Black Power Tarot exhibition by King Khan and Michael Eaton under the supervision of Alejandro Jodorowsky, on view January 13 – April 1 at the UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art’s (GOCA) downtown location, GOCA121. The exhibition is free and open to the public Wednesday – Saturday, 12-5 p.m.

Beyond inspired by militant black leaders like Malcolm X and Stokely Carmichael, a new, radicalized generation of civil rights activists made up of young college students, Vietnam vets, musicians, and intellectuals emerged in Memphis in 1967.
