In this lunch lecture, Elaine Freed will discuss the work of Architect Jan Ruhtenberg, who Julie Penrose hired to design The Broadmoor’s carriage house museum.

In this lunch lecture, Elaine Freed will discuss the work of Architect Jan Ruhtenberg, who Julie Penrose hired to design The Broadmoor’s carriage house museum.

He went on to design 14 houses, St. Mary’s School, two office buildings, and the Valley Hi Golf Club, as well as an opera house that was never built. His unique designs stood out amid the more conventional ranch houses of postwar Colorado Springs.
