Dr. Zahari Metchkov & Tsvetana Bandalovska

Dr. Zahari Metchkov joins Tsvetana Bandalovska in a collaboration of opera and piano with the sounds of Strauss, Rachmaninoff, Dvorak, Verdi, Massenet and Puccini.

Dr. Zahari Metchkov is both a pianist and an organist performing at such venues as New York’s Avery Fisher Hall and Washington’s Kennedy Center. He has concertized in Israel, Bulgaria and the US. Dr. Metchkov is an Associate Professor of Music at the Colorado State University, Pueblo, Colorado.

Tsvetana Bandalovska is the principal artist at the Sofia Opera and Ballet in Bulgaria. She has sung over 25 operas including those by Verdi, Bellini, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Mozart, Puccini and Gounod. She will be singing Song Cycle, Op. 22, by Strauss, Art Songs by Rachmaninoff, Bulgarian Folk Songs, and Arias by Dvorak, Verdi, Massenet and Puccini.
