Curious Palate Wine Tasting Class: Zinfandel

The Zinfandel grape and the wine it creates is one of our favorite topics at Soirée. Why? Well, it’s so very misunderstood…and we love to debunk myths! White Zinfandel is often the very first wine someone tries and as much as folks love to bash it, it offers everything a beginner might want. BUT Zinfandel offers so much more…even wine drinkers who like the big and bold can enjoy a great Zinfandel; it offers flavors blueberry, black pepper, cherry, plum, boysenberry, cranberry and licorice. When you taste Zinfandel it often explodes with candied or jammy fruitiness followed by spice and often a tobacco-like smoky finish. Want to learn more? We want to share more!

The Curious Palate is a tasting class series that is designed to explore the world of wine, beer and spirits and learn your palate in an intimate and friendly atmosphere. The Curious Palate is for the taster who wants to take their personal wine, beer and spirits experience to a new level by building knowledge…while having fun!
