Mark Gainer, oboe, Charleston (SC) Symphony Principal Oboe, is back again if you missed him last year. Mark, a highly dynamic player, has come up with a program of German masters, and some beautiful and exciting music by contemporary Brazilian composers. Before Charleston, Mark played oboe for symphonies in Venezuela and Nicaragua, where he picked up a love for this unusual repertoire.
Dave Stoller, natural horn, is back as well, and is one of the Classically Alive originals from when we started back in 2006. Dave has performed with all the Front Range orchestras, and has performed numerous chamber music concerts with Maestro Lawrence Leighton Smith. As a special treat for the evening, Dave will be performing on the natural horn, a period instrument of the Baroque and Classical periods.
Norah Clydesdale, cello, now a familiar face at our venue, is cellist of the piano trio at CSU-Pueblo, and where she teaches as well. Norah has also had the privilege of performing chamber music with Maestro Smith. Norah has had a distinguished musical career in both Europe and across the United States.
Abe Minzer, piano, is director and founder of Classically Alive. He teaches music at PPCC and UCCS, and performs across the US.
