Beowulf Party

Local high school student Beatrice Hall will begin our through-reading of this great work of literature by reciting from memory the first thousand lines of the poem. Community members will take turns reading the rest with the goal of reciting the entire text. We'll be using Seamus Heaney's translation, available for purchase in the store, and we'll have copies to share, too. Bring a friend or bring your knitting, stay for the long haul or come for the portion you most want to hear. And, as ever, spread the word! There may be mead!
