Architecture: Blending of Science, Engineering, Technology & Innovation II (#2121)

This is the 2nd part in a two part course (#2102 and #2121). This two-part course will focus upon architectural notables such asR. Buckminster Fullerand his development of the geodesic dome,Moshe Safdieand his “Habitat” and “Crystal Bridges” projects,Renzo Pianoand the development of ecto-skeletal design,Sir Norman Fosterand the creation of the “Industrial Design Aesthetic,” and last but not least, the incomparable and innovative architecture, sculpture, and designs of Santiago Calatrava. We will also explore where science, technology, engineering, and architecture merging in such projects as the Bio-Sphere, New Eden, the Falkirk Wheel, and finally the Ecorium.
