An EVENING With the Father of our Country-Geo. Washington

Program:  "An Evening with the Father of our Country–George Washington".    Presenter:  Dave Wallace, historian and first person reenactor.   Location:  Old Colorado City History Center, 1South 24th Street, C/S. 80904, 636-1225   We all know the story of Washington and the cherry tree as well as the crossing of the Delaware and more.  Are these true or myth?  Step back into the 1700s for a visit with President Washington during his birthday month.  Presenter, Dave Wallace, portrays Washington in an authentic setting.  Attendees are welcome to bring their own flashlights since Washington did not have electricity. The program is free to Old Colorado City Historical Society members and $5 for non-members.  Seating is limited.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Samples of cherry pie are on the menu.
