2016 Green Box Arts Festival: The Hennessy 6 Church Service and Evening Concert

Jazz and music lovers alike will not want to miss the soulful jazz creations of The Hennessy 6. Hailed by Wynton Marsalis as an interpreter of “clarity, elegance and uncommon grace,” trumpeter and composer Sean Hennessy leads the Colorado-based group, The Hennessy 6. Bringing its own unique brand of jazz to the stage, and featuring original music by all the group’s members in intricate arrangements that showcase the band’s versatility and virtuosity, The Hennessy 6 spans the gamut seamlessly from soulful ballads, driving swing, Latin, hard bop, and more. Collectively, the band’s members have appeared alongside numerous luminaries of the music world, including Dave Liebman, Maria Schneider, Joe Walsh, Ernie Watts, John Faddis, Wycliffe Gordon, Vince Gill, and Amy Grant.
