Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA Christopher Weed received his BFA from the University of Maryland, College Park. He spent three years studying in Germany. Weed has spent the last 13 years creating Public Art on a larger than life scale. He has completed more than 20 public art commissions, to include recently completed projects for Colorado State University, Behavioral Science Building, Prairie Center Metropolitan District #44 in Brighton, Colorado and a commission for the colorado Springs Urban Housing Authority. In 2010 Weed participated in the award winning Colorado Springs Exhibit, "Conflict-Resolution" He was commissioned by the FAC to complete 14 sculptural elements, of which 3 would be acquired for their permanent collection.
